year 2005 as the organ implementing the Social\nTransformation to the most vulnerable. The program was realized through the pastoral work of\nthe Sisters who conducted a needs assessment in slum areas afflicted with numerous social ills\nand poor living standards. The HIV\/AIDs pandemic had aggravated the problems of slums\ndwellers. The problem faced by the communities include: - malnutrition, ill health, high poverty\nrate, low literacy levels and Human Rights Violations.\nThe core areas of intervention are Education, with the emphasis on support of early\nchildhood education, Health, Human Rights Advocacy, Food security &amp; Nutrition and\nEnhancing Livelihood. The presence of ESM-Mission Animation Program is giving\nhope to the indigent families in Kajiado and its adjacent Counties.\n\nMCESM collaborates with other organizations and potential donors to achieve its religious and\ncommunity development goals. Guided by its charism, vision, mission, and core values, MCESM\nremains committed to transforming society by improving living conditions and promoting social\njustice and human rights.\nRecognizing these challenges, MCESM has identified the need to establish a community\nvocational and accommodation centre. This centre will play a crucial role in equipping the needy\ncommunity with practical technical skills tailored to meet the demands of the job market. By\nfocusing on hands on training, MCESM aims to address the root causes of unemployment and\npoverty, ultimately contributing to Kenya\u2019s goal of creating a skilled workforce. Furthermore,\nMCESM has undertaken a range of community development projects spanning education, water\n&amp; sanitation, health, and gender-based violence prevention. GCC envisions a dignified, inclusive society where youth with disabilities can live independently, access opportunities, and fully utilize their untapped potential. The organization serves as a safe space, talent and leadership hub, and platform for empowerment, enabling youth with disabilities and their caregivers to gain skills, showcase their abilities, and engage in transformative community leadership.\nThrough evidence-based and human-rights-centered programming, GCC promotes decent living, inclusion, and empowerment of youth with disabilities in Kenya\u2019s informal settlements and higher learning institutions. The organization has directly reached over 5,000 youth with disabilities and indirectly impacted more than 10,000 persons with disabilities and community members through sustainable initiatives in health, research, livelihoods.
